Hi,
I am Renee Geiger. I have been riding since I was 5 yrs old but the first word that I ever said and the only thing I ever talked about since I was old enough was about horses. They have always been a huge passion in my life and through the thick and thin they are there to keep me going and look forward and keep me focused on what I should be. When I was 5 yrs old, I bought a little white POA pony named Pokey. He taught me everything that there was to learn about a horse, having a horse, riding a horse, and the responsibilities. He was the dream pony that every little boy and girl dream about having. He sadly passed away on April 20th 2007. He has since then given me that passion to want to work with horses and persue a career with horses, which I dedicate everyday to him. Check out my Loving Memory page.
I enjoy working with horses from colts to aged horses. My favorite is barrel racing but recently have purchased two POA broodmares that are halter/pleasure bred and am going to learn as much as I can to make that a specialty/habit of mine as well. Focusing on the POA, Appaloosa, and Paint horses.
I live on a farm north of Vinton with about 50 acres to ride on. Currently with a head of 20 horses, they keep me busy! I am currently enrolled at Kirkwood Community College for a 2 year degree in Radiology Technology. Horses will still be with me throughout college and have future plans with them in barrel racing, western pleasure and outside the show pen on the trails.
